French translation is "Two Rivers". Not a bad hike. I took a bus out of Calibishe, and then hiked to the town of Bense. From there the road turns into track for about a mile. It's an absolutely beautiful hike mostly along a ridge. Eventually you find a little red sign directing you off to the left onto another track. Here the mud begins. Slip side down a ravine and end up at the pool. First one you swim across washed the ...

I haven't fully calculated the numbers, but a good estimate of calories burned on the Boiling Lake hike were around 2,500 for Jen, and closer to 3,500 for me, perhaps more on both accounts. Hot showers and an early bedtime tell you all you need to know about the close of this day. The next day, thankfully, was vastly easier - we had no intention of leaving the resort at all. ...

Rain of seriousness

A travel blog entry by jamsheedmaster on Mar 31, 2012

The little town Rosseau where we stop is interesting but dangerous to walk around. Dangerous mostly because the pavements and roads are ...
