So, today I set out with the intention of exploring the city of Chester. Bit odd to be doing this on my final day instead of the first but oh well. Luckily for me, the centre of the city isn't too far from my hotel, and the whole area is nicely walkable. I spent a while looking through the Rows and at some of the interesting little shops dotted about the place, before stopping to warm up with a piece of bakewell tart and a hot chocolate.

Looking forward to being frisked by Si but he's in Teneriffe! Both well and now waiting for Gate to open and signing off for next ...

... way to Ollivander’s wand shop with wooden panelled drawers and a wall of wands. We were struggling to control our excitement as we hummed along to the HP theme music and gazed at the impressive collectables like the Triwizard cup, the horocruxes, the time turner; imagined being in the robes or in Gryffindor jumpers; held replicas of different wands from Harry’s to Voldemort’s; contemplated purchasing chocolate frogs and Weasley’s vomit lollies; and stared ...
