Totally un-coincidently, the friends we made in Cambodia stayed at the same place as us here! It was great for the kids and I must say I loved inviting myself to their room for a wine!! Friday night wine night, with a friend!
Hoi An is a beautiful old town, shame about all the tourists ;) We explored everywhere on bicycle, as the place we …

... else. We wondered into Quang Trieu Cantonese Meeting Hall and ditched a stump. Ancient traders used to hang out here now incenses burn from giant mosquito coils hanging from the ceiling. The Chinese shrine there honours the dead. We admired Gary the giant goat god in the back yard and decided we'd still had enough of temples. Gary considered. We returned to Be li for our first fitting. In half a day they'd created our order with precision. Any reservations I had about the ...

... for a wee while longer.

We looked at what else we could do here and seeing as we had the bike we decided to go a bit further out the next day to some ancient Cham temple ruins in a place called My Son about 35 miles from Hoi An. The temples were great. A refreshing change from the usual well kept Buddhist temples that we have came across so far in Asia. These are Hindu temples that date back to the 4th Century and were erected by the Champa dynasty to worship ...

... with old parts (even things that are not broken) or siphon you oil and petrol to use themselves. So we sat there for 3 hours watching this fella butcher my bike to pieces. As we were sat in one place for so long, we became almost an attraction to the locals. I think we were dubbed "the two white guys" as whole families would turn up at this bike shop to see the "two freaks" get there bike fixed. One kid who must not have been older then 6 actually started crying ...

We met Leo and Toan for a glass of fresh beer before heading for dinner. Tey explained tons abut how this town we are is is a gold mining town and people come from all over the world to mine here. The hotel we are staying ...

Amazing value for money! If you are travelling with family, then this is the place to stay. Loads of room to spread out. Pool and great choice for breakfast menu. Free bikes are fantastic as it is just a little way out of town, which is nice. Staff are beautiful and friendly and did a perfect job with our forwarding travel arrangements. Highly recommend.

A room for two where we stayed is somehow small but clean. We have a sound sleep and always enjoy good breakfast. They have a swimming pool which is best suited for kids because of its size but nevertheless we do love to hop in there to refresh ourselves from hot and humid weather. They have a very lovely garden too!!! Plus, they offered a free dinner party for all the guests(only when all rooms are full). good for couples and family travelers.
