We had to walk the last 2.5km but it was worth it. The beach was fantastic and the digs perfect for some seaside R&R. We bumped into another Hampi stalwart there and caught up on the gossip. The rest was just lazy heaven.

... at least until someone suggested we hire mopeds to visit the neighbouring beach up the road. But I had had enough of ...

The taxi driver on my way in from the airport had warned me that the prices were not that good, but said i should go for the experience. I decide to take the public bus for 10 INR. ... surrounded by many rocks so a very different setting than baga and more one I had expected. Pretty pleased I enjoyed a late breakfast with a couple cups of chai and then made my way down to the beach. I walked for over an hour listening to tunes before getting to an outcrop of rocks that had pools of water cozy enough to relax in while reading my book. Sat there uninterrupted, except for the occasional loud crash of waves hitting the rocks, for a couple of hours before walking ...

... in Thivim it was around 6.00. Our option was to take a tuk-tuk to Mapusa and then to take a local bus. The tuk-tuk driver (the first one that we asked) charged us IR 200 to Mapusa or IR 350 all the way to Anjuna. Since we were tired we decided to go directly to Anjuna.

Anjuna wasn’t really what we were expecting because by reading and talking to other travelers we started to picture something like Zanzibar, a really nice beach, white sand, crystal blue water and ...
