... one area we were told the huge Russian development had only sold 10% of the units and let a further10% having 80% just standing idle. Several other sites had been built to varying levels and clearly stopped when the cash ran out leaving broken hearts and loosing thousands of euros for the unlucky investors. Such is the story of an economy reliant on tourism.

Well, it really does feel good to be mostly caught up on my blogs. I am sorry you all have had to wait so long for the pics etc form the Canary Islands. It has been hectic, but in the best way possible. I have to say that I am so thankful to UoL for budgeting in a bit of money for travel outside of France, because this was an experience of a lifetime. To be honest without them, I would not have been able to have that exoerience. At least not now ...
