This is the first place we stayed in, we got our own little room and a wet room/toilet down the stairs, at only 200 baht per night we were very pleased.

Great value and beautiful riverside and randomness

The staff were friendly enough. We didn't stay in the huts on the river or riverside view room but they look like they'd be great. Our room was really cheap 150 B in January. The food isn't bad but you can get better around the corner in the cafes and restaurants. We had basic but it was clean and spacious basic.

This morning we arrived at 05:00h at the main station of Bangkok. We directly start to look for a bus to Kanchanaburi. This one we found quite quickly. It's a local oldy but it drives and brings us to the place were we like to go and is leaving already at 06:00h. We bought some food at 7/11 supermarket and step on the bus again …

Hello, well we have slipped from the cold of Kathmandu to the heat of Ko Lanta, an island off the coast of Krabi in Thailand. We will rewind to our last few hours in Kathmandu as they proved to be quite special.....

We stopped off in a Garden restaurant for breakfast in Thamel, before heading to Kathmandu

What an outstanding day to end our trip in Kanchanaburi. We hired a driver (a sister of a gal we met) and she drove us to Erawan Waterfalls. Left at 7am in a nice new air-conditioned Toyota crossover. Very comfortable. It's a lovely drive through beautiful forests and mountain areas...about 1 1/2 hours. We left at 7am, so had plenty of time for a …

Moved into the Blue Star Guest House 3 days ago. Air, hot water, wifi, clean and quiet... 310 bahts a night. We decided to spend time "on the other side of town"

On Monday we took another long walk to the "death bridge" and then called our friend Volker, (he's the fellow that picked us up when we were lost and wandering around), and he …
