... What this actually meant was that our transfer station was the middle of the highway. Literally we stopped in the middle of the highway and a bus pulled up behind us and we got onto the bus with cars zooming past us. We survived, made our way to the boarder and into the "Kingdom of Cambodia, the country of wonders!" to quote the crazy pots man at the night food stalls of Battambang.

... we could stay one night and then find a beach resort - instead of the four that I had booked us in for! The place we were in did have a lovely pier out into the sea and we spent the afternoon and evening enjoying Leo beers and some great food. It was "just like Dartmouth" according to Mum!!!
