    ... traffic. Nothing to worry about, we thought this will clear as it usually does, but no, not this time. Apparently there was quite a sever crash about a mile ahead, and we were well and truely wedged into two lanes of jammed vehicles. There was a procession of ambulance, police and fire appliances squeezing between the two lanes of traffic on the A417, but when the air ambulance arrived, we knew we were in for a wait.     ... is designed like a college chapel with the pews facing each other the entire length of the chancel. For visitors they also have placed additional chairs in the north and south transepts.
    Evensong today went well. Tomorrow is the marathon! Three services, 10.00 Matins; 11.15 Choral Eucharist, Paula and I both have short solo pieces in the Mass setting by Darke. Then at 6.00 pm we have our last evensong.

    ... interesting one I thought was Mary Queen of Scots who put Elizabeth the first in the tower for several years and Elizabeth was released and became Queen Mary died.     ... Oriel for breakfast because Oriel serves better breakfast than Pembroke. On our way to Oriel Larry read us a note Maud, who said how much she'd enjoyed working with us this summer.
