Wednesday 11th September – we arrived in our fifth country in Costa Rica. It was immediately apparent we had now arrived in a US holiday destination as the Spanish national language gave way to American English and the delights of the US, MacDonald's, Burger King, KFC and Pizza Hut were seen a 100 metre centres along the main street. The tour led us through a small coffee farm (more like a garden), factory where they roast and package the products, and a small auditorium for a coffee-tasting demonstration, presentations, and skits. I should've definitely volunteered in the auditoriums because they got these amazing mocha frappuccinos at the end.
