The day had been quite warm and continued to be so into the afternoon when a thunderstorm hit the city. It rained for quite a while as our guide gathered us together for a fairly long walk back to where we would meet the coach. By the time we arrived at the bus, we were all quite drenched. However still in good spirits we travelled back to the port of Livorno to reconnect with our ship.

... The gang went for a walk; we visited the beach for a long time then walked around town and found a grocery store. After that we got back to the hotel we had a short time until leaving for supper. Since our wine tour today got cancelled, the roomies and I decided to go to Pisa as a cheap day trip. It was about an hour train ride from Florence which wasn't that bad.
