... on to Creg Ny Baa for morning tea. After our successful lap Greg and I thought we might need to go home and change our undies as some bikes passed so close to us at such great speed that it frightened the s**t out of us. We spent the rest of the day wandering around Douglas in the sunshine before an early night.

Craig, Marg and Chris left early on Friday morning but Greg and I had one more day - the day of the Senior TT. We will meet the others when we ...

We are certainly becoming old hands at this airport routine. Its a shame that security checks make it a longer and more tedious process compared to the old days. Headed back to Laxey, walked around there and saw the water wheel, then home. Dinner, then bed - light till ...

... it, we made it to Heysham by late afternoon and spent the night in Morecomb, a quintessential beachfront resort - once!

Wednesday 11th - housework and a walk along the seafront - Promenade. Last week a storm came through, made the news here and overseas. The photos of the flotsam on the prom, and the damage to railings is self-explanatory.
Made the ferry to IOM with plenty of time to spare. Its a big bit of sea between England ...

... we were heading south. We saw signs for "waterside" and followed them, thinking they would take us to the ocean, but "waterside" was actually the Mersey River, not the ocean. We parked the car and crossed the road to a nice restaurant by the river, and I watched a ferry cross the Mersey and had the song in my head :P We had a nice lunch and then drove to the Liverpool John Lennon Airport. We found the undercover secure car park and parked the car. We checked ...
