... shops were closed - again !! As you can imagine, Jim was devastated by this news.

A cup of coffee lifted our spirits and we were at the appointed place at 12 noon among the crowds to see the Changing of the Guard. The New Guard marches from Rosenborg Castle about 400 metres away to Amalienborg Palace through the streets and the Old Guard forms up in the Square outside the Palace to perform the changing ceremony.

The whole process takes about 45 minutes ...

... time at 7.10am and showered etc in record time! Grabbing a pastry for me and a sausage in bread for Wayne (quickest breakfast ever) we made it to the bus for the 8am tour of the city.
