    ... funky vibes and a good strip of restaurants. At a little tapas restaurant (PS- South African restaurants don't exist in Sth Africa) we made friends with 3 young South Africans from Jo'Berg- a husband, wife and her best friend, of whom who had travelled around the world together. Instantly we had a lot in common and they were running fanatics who had just done Two Oceans as part of their training for Comrades....a match made in heaven! Was good to share ...

    ... farm you pay roughly $15 and get to taste 6 wines and all you can eat cheese tasting. My favourite cheese was a Camembert that was infused with cranberries, or the honey flavoured creamy goats cheese.

    The next stop was beer, chocolate and biltong tasting, and afterwards, lunch with the choice of our favourite beer out of the 6 available. The Pilsner was my beer of choice, along with a side of springbok biltong. After the pub was gatecrashed by no less than two bucks parties ...

    ... to Cape Town in one piece with my baggage and my body! I have been staying at a great hostel right by the waterfront and have enjoyed meeting great people and eating AMAZING food (which I keep forgetting to take pictures of before I eat it!     ... to Darling where we had lunch combined with a beer tasting. By 15.30h finally back home (yes, I name Hopleyweg 83 home already :-)). Time for a nap and later a braai to finish the day. 03/02: Today a last training, waking up at 6.30h, a drive to Jonkershoek (Stellenbosch) to meet up with JC and having a ride. We made it a short one, but with lots of climbing. A ride of 24 km and 500 climbing meters! Now it's time to rest a few days before the race is gonna start on ...
