Had a sleep in after having watched a movie on TV into the evening and had to rush off to breakfast. An extensive spread with EVERYTHING on offer and a bottomless cup of freshly brewed coffee. We ate more then our fill before returning to the room to shower and get organised for the day. We headed out the side entrance to bargain with the Tuk-Tuk drivers. I tumbled off with my "bag o chunder" but there's no bins anywhere in Sri Lanka so I had to abandon it and then, much to everyone's horror, get back on the bus. It was the most mortifying trip but it is one way to get 2 chairs to yourself in a crowded bus. I absolutely reeked and I could hear windows being quietly opening all over the bus, including the bus driver!

... was required... 2 cold bottles of water please. "Sorry Ma'am, we only have these bottles". That'll be 1 bottle of warm water please! The station is very similar to that of Bangkok only much cleaner. A packed platform with men selling kids colouring books, popcorn, bags of exotic fruit, oranges... And warm bottles of water! The train arrives. There's no room for politeness here, makes rush hour on the London Underground look lame! No sooner had the train ...
