I had a a great weekend in Beijing.

I felt like I was actually travelling again.

The thing about my time in Shanghai has been that its felt like ..normal life just in another country. Don't get me wrong a great experience but once all the new and interesting things have become every day life, its just living Gary.

So, Sanlitun hostel, was much more like the kind of place we saw ourselves staying when we planned the trip, full of cool traveller types from 10 different nations, good food, free pool and cheap drinks.

Some of the added features are nice but a little expensive for china. The place is big, 4 floors, so it doesn't have the overall hostel feel of some smaller places.
