    Free Breakfast!

Very impressed. Including the free breakfast this could be the cheapest hostel in Beijing. Central location, although Nanluguoxiang is the most crowded street in the world so shoving past people to get to the hostel is never fun. Although all the alleyways are rarely crowded. Very helpful staff with many tours for good prices. Clean rooms, free lockers, FAST internet. Try to book 2+ days in advance during the summer.

    Overall great Hostel

This hostel was clean, friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and I really like the curtain around the bed, so you could feel like you had a bit of privicy. The staff were great and helped me find my own way to the Great Wall and also booked the train for the next part of my journey. Location is brilliant if you want to be in the heart of the Hutongs, although it is difficult to spot if you don't have a clue what you are looking for.

This was a great hostel. It was always clean, and there was always someone there to help us and answer any questions. The location is amazing. It's in an awesome area that is filled with restaurants, shops, and cafes. Our private double room was clean, well organized, and had its own bathroom. As it turns out, all the rooms, dormitory or private, have their own bathrooms. The hostel also includes a free breakfast at their cafe next door. The food there is great as well...try the burger! The staff was also great. Suggestions, help with anything, organizing shows and The Great Wall...they do it all.

This place has friendly and helpful staff. The location is great, close to line 6 on subway but you can also walk to major tourist destinations such as the Forbidden City and the beautiful Beihai Park.

Great place to stay. Very interesting location in Nanlougun with lots of interesting shops. You can hire bicycles and its the best way to travel around Beijing. Staff are very helpful and I had terrific communication with them before arriving as well.

Beijing - mostly in the rain

I arrived in Beijing around 7:30 am, just in time for major Beijing rush-hour madness. There is an easy link to the metro right at the train station, but trying to get on one of the metro cars was another story. The trains arriving where packed, no-body (maybe a couple of people) left the cars, and hundreds tried to get on. Nothing much moved, the …

Beijing is all over the place, many good, many bad things. The traffic for instance, is very bad. The metro, the road, it sucks everywhere in central Beijing. On the outskirts of the city it's like a rural town, but dead in the center it's hellzone. Bicycling is great here, but I never did that.

I will never forget the talking bird. This …
