... I was actually surprised when a woman apologised to me when she bumped off me in the airport back home! Wow manners! But that just seems normal to them. Not once did someone apologise for walking into me on the subway or on the street and happened constantly.

... to cyclists. Local fare such as boterbolen (mini croquettes); ham and cheese broodje and Trappiste beer (okay that's Belgian beer, but we were very close to the border .... Mark, eat your heart out!). We also saw an amazing farm that went wild featuring gourds and pumpkins in the most elaborate autumnal yard art we've seen! We must bring some of those ideas home for Hallowe'en!
