... to cyclists. Local fare such as boterbolen (mini croquettes); ham and cheese broodje and Trappiste beer (okay that's Belgian beer, but we were very close to the border .... Mark, eat your heart out!). We also saw an amazing farm that went wild featuring gourds and pumpkins in the most elaborate autumnal yard art we've seen! We must bring some of those ideas home for Hallowe'en!

... this point, I turned myself around and found the main road back into the "centrum" area. I decided to park my bike in the square near St. Catherine's and quickly prayed to St. Anthony that my bike wouldn't get stolen or lost (and yes, I locked it). Bicycle thievery is common in Eindhoven. Apparently, once a bike is stolen it is resold at a cheaper rate but this is mostly done by junkies. My goal is to not let this happen and to consistently lock up. This will ensure that ...
