Today Matteo & Caterina drove us to Milan for the day. We parked in the suburbs and caught the Metro in to the centre. The first stop was via Monte Napoleane where all of the big fashion houses have their flagship stores. They all have security inside the closed doors, and only allow people in if they are serious shoppers and can afford the exorbitant prices. Window shopping was all we could manage. But it does have one very steep set of stairs going under a house that is always a trial. We drive to Bellagio because we can catch the car ferry across the lake and then drive down the lakeside to the village of Agrengo. We decide to park the car in a real car parking area near the church. It is only a short walk for the boys and the girls are ...

... while Carol does the laundry. Big bonus, we have a washing machine so everything gets washed, and we are in for the night. Bread with extra virgin olive oil and a pesto spread for appetizers along with some wine all on the balcony is a wonderful start. Salad with tomatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper is next. Finally, we cook the fresh pasta to perfection, add olive oil, pepper, and butter, and sit down to eat. Arroncini rice ball and the other stuffed treat on ...
