There isn’t much to report from yesterday. It was basically a rest day that involved wandering around Morbegno’s streets as well as running a few personal errands.

Dinner was with Marina’s cousins again for more magnificent home-made food. This time it was some succulent turkey & chicken with chips, followed by bread, cheese & salami, and then a home-made tira misu. This was of course followed by a healthy serving ...

... up the village from the lake. To get anywhere in the village means using the village tracks - translation goat track (if you are lucky). These tracks I are rough - cobblestones or bare earth, and tend to be very steep with lots of steps. We decided to walk up to the piazza and other shops then go to see the castle. From the Tre. ... track to the car - about 250 metres but rough, a little up and down but nothing like the our track to the piazza on the main road. But it does have one very steep set of stairs going under a house that is always a trial. We drive to Bellagio because we can catch the car ferry across the lake and then drive down the lakeside to the village of Agrengo. We decide to park the car in a real car parking area near the church. It is only a short walk for the boys and the girls are ...

Adventure getting to our hotel by subway

A travel blog entry by toddandkaren on Sep 01, 2012

After almost missing our train in Verona, Italy to get to Milan...we were relieved to finally get there. After figuring out which subway stop our hotel was located, we checked into our hotel, had a nap and set out to find the church which has the Last Supper painting. It was definetly worth the trip!
