... out to be up a very steep road and well out of town. Google maps can be deceiving! Even the driveway is hard work, and I can confidently predict that our car will need a new clutch soon.

Compensation is stunning views from our room at the pool deck.

Fab dinner down at the harbour which is like The Camber docks in Portsmouth but busier, prettier and warmer!

Hoping the Peak road will be open tomorrow for more breath taking scenery.

We move along Route 62 which apparently is as famous at Route 66 in America, we pass the world famous uk sex shop in the middle if ...

... of the coastline. The sea was quite rough with huge waves and there were surfers everywhere! There are designated shark and whale watchers as now is the time of year when they come to shore. We next arrived at Simonstown which was a British Naval Base . This was a beautiful spot with lovely beaches and some beautiful buildings ! The high spot however were the penguins! We were able to watch them nesting and with their young on the ...

... had a great snapshot tour of her city for us; we have been up Lionskop, to Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Noordhoek, Cape Point, Simons Town, Boulders, Constantia, Rhodes Memorial, Forrester's Arms (known fondly as'Forries' by many generations of locals). Cape Point is beautiful. Rocky, steep, covered in Fynbos & beautiful Atlantic green water. Baboons overfamiliar, haunt the paths hoping for an unwary tourist to have food or drink ...
