    ... the dam not only had the intended benefit of generating massive outputs of electricity, it has also greatly improved ship navigation and the effects of flooding that used to plague the area. It was a controversial project however as it displaced thousands of people and flooded some 13,000 archeological sites, which still to this day remains controversial. This project is definitely a masterpiece but I wonder if the benefits will ever outweigh the societal costs? ...
