Alice says sorry Dad. He taught us about the fertility monument and the only time we really listened was when he said vagina. We did giggle...he didn't.

... I came across a teenage kid drawing what looked like a tree and fallen stones. Looking up, I see what he is drawing, and I am again impressed. It was so realistic, so accurate, that I wondered how many times he has drawn this scene. A little further down, I see a guy drawing a figure high up on the wall. His artistic skills are not quite as good, and since the object of his art is so far away, I believe he leaves some details to his imagination.
... a really small bathroom with really cold water from the lake), so we checked in! There was a big common room (like sitting room, with tv, pool table etc) that lead out to a terrace onto the lake. Started off at Angkor Thom, as this was the place I wanted to see the most - inside is the Bayon - it's the temple with all the heads staring out into the jungle - definitely my favourite place, I went back there twice.
Got to Angkor Wat itself at sunset the first day, just as it was closing so I couldn't go in ...
I spend the day today with villagers out in the countryside. It's actually a tour called "A day in the life," where you can experience life with a typical Khmer family out in a small, poor rural village. It was an amazing experience. Since originally posting this blog entry I've gotten some emails asking where to sign up for this tour. It was a tour provided by the Villa at Siem Reap, http://www.thevillasiemreap.com/tours.h tm ...
