... dive - as there was a fairly strong current we used it to move us around a large coral corner where the dive boat would rendezvous with us. Saw a turtle and a Sting Ray and got some pics.

After the dive geared down again and washed my camera. A couple of people on board are sea-sick which is bad for them - they look terrible and the colour gone from their face. On Japanese girl had it bad. A great day out albeit ...

... in such a busy industrial port.

We are not sure if it was our imagination but the pollution seemed to get thicker and thicker as we sailed out to sea and it seemed quite ghostly. Arrived in Bangkok early yesterday morning and was spoilt immediately by Anna when she took us to a salon where we spent an hour or so being pampered after our long journey. We then met Alex and Steve, the lovely couple staying in Anna's condo in Pattaya who we accompanied to the local cinema to watch the new superman film, Man of Steel. This ...

... I could barely disguise my horror when a bill of 2,400 Baht (about 50 quid) was placed in front of me, generally enough money to pay for our food for a week or so. Pretension comes at a price…

Most of Tuesday and Wednesday were spent beautifying Luton Town Village in preparation for the arrival of our guests Phil and Leyla. Judging by the fervour with which Shelley has thrown herself (and me) into this task, I think she ...

Day 34 - a temple and heading to Chiang Mai

A travel blog entry by malinda.egg on Jan 02, 2012

... sweating so much at the temples today it was nice and refreshing to be in the cool water though.  After getting out of the pool we got changed and headed down to streets in search of a cheap Thai foot massage. It was 100 baht (about $3 something) for 30 minutes. After doing feet and legs for 20 minutes they then massaged our head, neck and shoulders which was a nice extra. We tipped the people and headed  back to the hotel where we ...
