Very clean, comfortable, friendly people, close to the center about 7 min walk to Kuwasan. Taxi cannot enter to the street but it is just 50 m walk from the road so no real problem. There are not private bathrooms in the rooms but the shared bathroom is clean and ok.

Waking up, it took me a couple seconds to remember where I was. The malaria pills I'm taking are giving me vivid dreams that make me a little off when I first wake up. After showering and having another delicious breakfast, I was well on my way to the Grand Palace before 10am. As I made my way down my alleyway, I waved to the old Thai woman …

Today I woke up at roughly 7:00am (only 3 hours after I fell asleep). I am exhausted and completely wired. Definitely jet lagged. My shower this morning was heaven and I spent a good 30 minutes just soaking it in. After I finished getting ready I was greeted by one of the hostel staff. He kindly ushered me to an outside table where I enjoyed a Thai …

Wow. Nothing could have prepared me for this. Where do I even begin? I guess I will start with my descent to Bangkok. In true Sigalle fashion, my "epic movie scores" playlist was in my ear as we began our descent. The glowing copper and silver city lights kept me pressed against the plane window. Isn't it funny how landing in a city at night never …

... at the same time we were. We were lead inside by a man with a flash light that showed us to a couple of seats close to the action. We watched in disgusted fascination as the parade of Thai women performed their "talents." After we felt that what remained of our innocence was no longer intact we departed, with only the mild satisfaction of being able to say that we indeed had attended a Bangkok Ping-Pong show. It was an interesting experience ...
