          Three nights in Trat

I stayed in the Baanrimnam Resort for 3 nights. I had originally intended to only stay one night and head on into Cambodia the following day. But Trat was far more interesting than I had anticipated and Baanrimnam was a very easy place to rest for a couple of days, recovering from the trip and from the last year of work.

The woman who owns and operates the place is a retired local school teacher. Her English is quite good and she was simply wonderful to me.

Now we are in Koh Chang the pace is really going to slow down. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of things to choose from. All varying cuisines from Western to Asian and European. We had cereal, toast, fruit, tea, pineapple juice. No orange juice strangely. Then had some waffles, pancakes, bacon and some maple syrup. Then cakes with donuts and also these amazing coconut ...

... I say. (Surely we didn't see it correctly....). We watch again... and then again we see Katie walking out with a bathing suit in her hand. "See?! You took the pink bikini." Think Jen. Think.... I knew we left empty handed as we had no bags and we were riding around the island on rental bikes. She says again "You took pink bikini. I checked in the basket- it no there. Then I check video and I see you take it". Come on Jen.. keep thinking................... "WAIT! No that is not ...

EMMA- Hi guys! Thailand is amazing! It is SO pretty! Blue skies, green grass, palm trees, blue ocean, colourful flowers and lots of sand! In Koh Chang we have basically just been hanging out and the more I think about I start to notice that we actually follow the same agenda every day. Here is our regular island agenda: 1. Wake up around 7:00 to 7:45. 2. Go for a walk (you have get your walk in before it starts to boil outside.) 3. Eat breakfast at our resort. ...

... elephants can head for a bathe and are washed 4x a day by the keepers. From the age of 1 each elephant has it's own keeper which stays with the elephant from 8am to 6pm, providing care, any medicines and feeding and bathing. The elephants are free to roam where they like (I'm not sure anyone could stop them anyway). They have had 5 calf's born at the park since it started, these have been natural conceptions, no forced mating which is done in some places. This is done by strapping the ...
