... the Ali Baba Indian restaurant where we ordered a Tandoori chicken, a dish for two, which was simply divine. Seeing the Ali Baba sign, it reminded me of a trip I took to the Greek island of Rhodes, back in the 1990's. We took a day trip from there to Turkey (Marmaris) and the tour guide on the bus introduced himself jovially with "I am Ali Baba, I know there are many who claim to be Ali Baba, but I am the original Ali Baba" !

We collected Mike from the pier late Wednesday afternoon. The a/c in the Nissan had stopped working and the fridge man (the guy on the island who fixes fridges and car a/c) thought there was a leak and we needed to bring it back at some point for him to confirm a price after his investigations. Mike wanted it fixing today even though it was 4.30pm. The fridge man found 2 holes in the pipes which he fixed and he re-gassed it too. Halfway ...

... It was pretty cool for the first few hours but as the night dragged on, the six inch gap between the seats that was supposed to pass for leg room, seemed to shrink. Specially when the smiley Thai lady opposite us decided to go for a nap in the foot well. This seemed to be common practice as by midnight the floor was littered with bodies. Late yesterday afternoon I had a pretty bad headache which I was given paracetamol for. As the day wore on it seemed to be getting worse.

The food here isn't that appetising and when you have a poor appetite and this not so nice food is brought to you, it churns your stomach. I struggled eat again. Darren was watching a film and I was feeling pretty ill so I laid down and slept. I woke a while later to find my head ...
