... than use a Eurail pass day as there was really no views of the alps to enjoy. the boat trip was a bit of fun - the river appeared to be quite turbulant and running OUT of the lake which seemed weird - Sam postulated that either the lake was overfull or that it was the tide - rivers don't generally run OUT of lakes do they? The swiss pass was used "again" today when we trained it to Schaffhausen via Zurich. Schaffhausen is up the top of Switzerland right near the German border and took us a whole 2 hours to get there!Managed to hop off one station early to find we were only a short walk from the Rhine Falls, the largest in Europe. ... we don't get gigantic street festivals back home and you can drink anywhere you want which is nice.
