Welcome back to the second part of my Chiang Mai experience! This blog entry is entirely devoted to one of my new favourite creatures on this planet... ELEPHANTS. I took enough photos of them too, so yeah... they kind of needed their own album. They deserve it, they're just so bloody amazing.

Well hello there.. nice to see you again! Thanks for popping by.... We stayed in a Awanahouse in the centre of Chaing Mai which was perfect. It was cheap, had a pool to cool down after the …

Our Epic Journey (it deserves it's own name) to northern Thailand-Chiang Mai started with a slow boat ride from Luang Prabang up the Mekong River. This was a 2 day trip which included an overnight stop half way. Our research informed us that depending on how we looked at this voyage it could either be peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing OR long, …

Saturday evening at Ayutthaya train station, our destination Chiang Mai - a 13 hour journey awaited us. Luckily we'd booked the overnight sleeper train which was surprisingly comfortable, providing you didn't need the toilet too often! The night train was generally a great experience, with there being no better way to travel than watching rural …
