... as there were Lions near the path (made sure I wasn't first or last in line!!) Picked up signal for one of the dogs but couldn't find it. Then got signal for Lion but lost it (right near camp!!) Whilst resting the whole town had a power cut, which put eating plans on hold. We headed in to the town and found the John Dory Grill open as they had their own generator. We ate and then got ready for the night drive.

... minutes or so for three days - a marathon of physicality that no doubt could inspire many gender-biased sex jokes. Let me just say that neither cat seemed to mind. The only uncomfortable ones were us humans, the observers-turned-voyeurs, who couldn't decide whether to put our camera settings on au naturel or Triple X. I just had to take a snap, but also tried to avert my gaze. After all, my mother always told me that is was not polite to stare.

... so treated my feet to my trainers only to discover I had failed to pack my socks! We returned to the Sizzler restaurant for a steak, Jackie had chicken and prawns. Still no sign of hippo in the high street. After finishing our wine on the patio, we went to bed at 10.00pm with England 1-0 up. ... an appointment with the only local doctor for just an hours time. At 4.30pm we arrived at Dr Steve Johann Swanrpoel's practice. His wife was the receptionist and she showed me into Dr Steve, who didn't look a picture of health himself, overweight with florid cheeks. We later found out he was 75, deaf, had high blood pressure and still was a heavy smoker! Anyway enough about him, he checked my ears which were infection free, then my blood pressure and ...
