... marked and this could be one of the flexibility lessons. I am sitting a small cafe, drinking hot chocolate and using their wifi on a beautiful Sunday morning. Later, as I crested another hill, Liz and her American friend came up behind me. They thought that they were on the way to the monastery but they had taken the wrong turn out of Cea. We walked the rest of the way together. Turns ...

Morning: the route to Cea is only 19K which is about 11.4 miles. But the elevation of Ourense is 570 ft and Cea is 1600. Could take me awhile. Writing from Cea. I stopped for water at one of the Pilgrim Fountains and then the ascent began. It wasn't as bad a a Canda but it was steady..and long. Some of the trail was very rocky but it was dry so it didn't feel dangerous. At the top of the mountain, the village of Alberqueria has one of the ...

After yesterday's early stop, I had so many thoughts about MY schedule. I had two choices....find cash and shorten the next few legs or use my remaining cash to get to Ourense by bus. First, the walk today was wonderful. A very short, steep uphill followed by miles of downhill. It was so beautiful. Lots of heather like flowers and most of the walk was on a gravel road. Everything was beautiful. So, I arrive in Laza and ask for the bank. ...
