... I imagine of the Alps which lay so tantalisingly close to here. Today we drove up to 4000ft (our camp by the lake is marginally below 3000ft) and the peaks, if that is even the right word, simply gave out lush pasture land for the dairy producers. ... see much as the river is well below street level. Go through a loch ,now at street level, much better, not learning much - got more from Lonely Planet but is quite pleasant. Pass by "Petite France", smaller island where artisans plied their trades in the Middle Ages.Lots of parks and flowers. Decide to go there for lunch. Back through the loch, down this time, back to the dock and off to find our way to lunch.
