Up and kettle boiled eggs for brekky before getting picked up by a knarly bird called Beth to go sandboarding. Once we collected the rest of our crew from the hostel we hit the Namib desert dunes where we faced a gruelling hike up to the 'ride zone' with our 'snowboards' - fooooking knackering!

Once at the top we got an introductory lesson …

Woke up to a dull morning but comfy nestled in our beds. Made breakfast by boiling eggs in the kettle and had Bucks Fizz from the remaining bubbles (far superior to the $10 USD each brekky in our hotel!).

Fully content we went to the lounge to book our sandboarding adventure for tomorrow and catch up on some admin in the peace and quiet.< …

Day 69! Woo hoo! What a milestone!

And what a way to wake up - ensconced in white sheets with the sun rising over the ocean outside our windows and the sound of the sea - refreshed from the comfortable sleeping hours gained during the night! No howling wind, no footsteps, just down clean softness...ahhhh! It felt like Christmas morning...< …

Up and away a little later than planned as Vikki set fire to the bush whilst disposing of discarded toilet paper and a spikey tree snaggled Simone's towel from the side of the truck and we had to use Brookes height to retrieve it!

Had fair bit of light rain overnight and at breakfast and then endured the worse camping experience of having to pack up a wet tent. We then drove a very short distance to the village of the Himba people who live a traditional lifestyle. It was both fascinating and uncomfortable as you had that human zoo feeling. The women have these amazing elaborate hairstyles and spend ages preparing their hair and rubbing ...
