... in their lives and I don't want to just be here! I will surely miss out on things that are bigger than my tiny little life in North Carolina if I don't get out. I got out of the tiny little town of Hendersonville and I sure as hell will get out of the not-so-tiny little country of the United States of America. Let's do this thing! ... a guest at this particular campground) Needless to say, that is only how its done when there are cars available. Which there were not as of the time of my phone call.

Plan B. I got on Google and searched for a rental car place between where we were and our campground. Luckily there are several places at the Asheville Airport so we swung into the airport and I rented a "sedan," which I was told ...

... and twist/bang the **** out of my foot. It swelled so big I couldn't even fit my climbing shoe back on... so after this I became what is knows as "Belay *****." Lee had a great climb sesh though. He onsighted some 11's and we giggle at a pompous guide hanging around the crag trying to be big and bad.

I will return and conquer the other routes without incident!

... out the quirky shops and people. We even gave a woman (with a genuine Southern accent, finally) a ride to an AA meeting at a local church. Southern people are so friendly...
The drive back was so nice. Good talks, beautiful scenery (thanks to a wrong turn), and it finally cooled down. We ended the night with some BBQ, at a place that was truly hopping. It was so much fun. ...
