... and thats for every flight. So we had to come up with a cunning plan. We are using a courier to send a case over to Singapore to our hotel ready for our cruise. It may seem like a lot of messing around but this is our holiday of a life time and we want to take suits and dresses we have bought for the cruise and have room for a few (very few say's Tony) momentos to ...
Blackpool, England, United Kingdom macblue... or I will no doubt be sick (again)!
I will add some photo's when I arrive on the isle of Tasmania, and I will write again once I am over the jet lag.
Goodbye for now my lovely friends and family.. see you all in 6 months or so!! Love Julia x x x
This is just to get the ball rolling as it were.
Our aim is to have a life laundry over the next few months. Plan our year long trip through Europe. Sell or pass on to others things we need. Buy and equip a motor home. Produce a photo/video documentary of the trip.
Last brief entry, just to say we are safely back home, arriving yesterday with Sue picking us up at Manchester airport.
We've had a fantastic trip - very memorable! Thank you for following our trip. Hope it hasn't been boring, certainly hasn't for us.
... whole family was completely amazing, I really wish I could spend more time with them, I hopefully will find the opportunity to in this life.
Janet and Kerry didn't mind taking me around to the Transport Museum (which was absolutely mind-blowingly interesting!! Pics are on Facebook if you havn't yet peeked!), as well as the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.. which was packed with natural and modern history of Scotland and the world.. as well as some of ...
... stuff is planned.
Now we are starting to get an idea of which are the 'must not be missed' places along the way - we can't possibly see everywhere and experience everything but shortlisting is going to be tricky!
The current plan is....
India - Sri Lanka - Singapore - Australia - New Zealand - Fiji - Argentina - Uruguay
Can't wait!
Tow truck 2, turns up at 15:29 and we are off again for the next leg of the journey, Stirling Services to Lancaster Services. This journey takes around 4 hours and I have a nice chat with the driver, Jim all the way. We phone ahead and arrange the next tow truck to meet us at Lancaster at 19:15, guess what? Yes, it wasn't there and I am told it won't be there until 20:15 and it finally arrives at 20:30
Lancaster, England, United Kingdom peterward... Straight after the Q & A's it was time for autographs. You weren't meant to get them into conversations but Janina and her mum kept chatting to us anyway and Rachel remembered us as well and asked how we were getting on. That night we stopped for fish and chips on the way home before hanging out at the hotel where we were super hyper all night. Day 2 highlights and memorable moments Playing the L Word trivia game. "Papi ...
Blackpool, England, United Kingdom hannah0... respectable amount of time in pubs accross Ireland, Scotland and England I think that I'm able to understand quite normally people speaking english with an accent. But when this lady talked to us, it could well have been in chineese or hungarian, I didn't get a single word...
We had a kind of "room + football" ticket accomodation with this hotel, and everything went fine. The four tickets were here, the rooms were booked for us, there was ...
John took me to Blackpool. He may have wanted to show me a UK beach resort. The street along the beach was full of decorations. I took a picture of his profile in the car. It was just a memory of Blackpool. We were on the way from Preston, where we met his old friend, and John talked about the word "love", because people there used "love" meaning "you" very often, when they talk to someone, like "Good morning, love!". That sounded awkward to him.
