Breakfast was amazing - again I just bloody love breakfast when on vacation.

It was full continental and then some. No cooked items, but the most amazing croissants, pastries, fruit, toast and preserves, freshly squeezed juice and great coffee. We ate outside and got chatting with some of the other guests which is what again made this guest …

Another amazing breakfast at the guest house! some new company as well which was nice.

Today were heading to the 'tat shops' and the shipwreck museum to learn about how Key West came to be so wealthy. Anna loves picking up fridge magnets and really unique memories of our holidays and she was in her element at Mallory Square gift shopping.< …

So we ate breakfast (I bloody love breakfast in hotels - even if just cereal!) and we were heading back to the airport to pick up out car for our drive to Key West!

I was really looking forward to this as it was a big bucket list tick for me - Convertible mustang, driving down to mile marker 0 along highway 1. This 150 mile trip is one of …

We spent the late morning and most of the afternoon on Key West's only real beach located in Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park. As the guy at the gate shack said, "It ain't the Bahamas but it's the best we got." The beach is rocky especially in the middle, but there is some sand and the water was beautiful. A storm finally ran us off the beach, so we came black to the house to change and settle in for happy hour. I guess we settled in too much, because we slept right through it. I don't ...

... yesterday, very laid back. It is kind of like a large Whangamata, although no surf, in that a lot of people have holiday homes there. 2. Pirates - there seems to be a pirate thing going on. It is not unusual to see the occasional person walking around with an eye-patch on (which admittedly could be due to an incident involving a firearm) or a parrot on their shoulder. There are a number of shops selling pirate shirts, costumes, skull n crossbone flags, etc. There are also ...
