I went on a lovely cruise of the canals and along the Leie (Lys) River, which flows from France. The historical buildings, particularly along Graslei and Korenlei, are amazing to see. ... street urinals around the place. No sooner did Jason say I need to go for a whiz that I spotted one. Literally a little wall you stand behind and go for a wees. Very out in the open but just gives you enough discretion to do your business. And I guess the main reason was to keep the building walls and streets clean! So we went and ate some Chinese food for dinner in the square this evening.. really was a bit dissapointing. It being different is not what would have bothered me.. it just was not very satisfying. I think this kind of mirrored some of our thoughts a little about being here in Belgium today as we are all kind of missing Sunday at home with our families...
