... to the Intercontinental Resort on the beach, to have a day there. We had to pay the day rate to use their facilities which included use of the pool, sun beds and a towel, it also included lunch in their restaurant. We had a shower of rain when we first got there but it soon went away and quickly dried up, so we sun baked and used the pool, then had lunch, choice of stir fry meat or fish or buffet salad, both were ...

Note to self: I must dance more often. Towards the end of the trip there was a Polynesian night arranged and we were top of the bill. Monday 24 March and Sunday 23 March, again

A Statesman limo was waiting for us as we walked out the door of the hotel. Nice! Not sure that either of us needed the lesson in Australian and New Zealand economics delivered to us. Ah well, he was a nice enough guy, maybe wasted as a cab driver though.

We'd bid to upgrade our seats from economy to business for the flight to Papeete (Pape’ete) and the bid was accepted so instead of the chaos ...

... Tahiti does not actually have beaches except for one small black sand beach that you have to drive too. It's the other islands and atolls of French Polynesia that hold the amazing crystal clear beaches and we were the only travellers planning to stay in Tahiti! So we stocked up on $5 corn on the cob (that we ended up throwing away as it was terrible) and paid a small amount in gold to buy four containers of fruit ( which due to our lack of French turned out to be ...
