    ... of people do not speak a word of English. I know hello and thankyou in French. That's it. The case kept knocking in to one of the men and I couldn't even say sorry, I said it in English and just hoped he'd understood. Another an was lovely. I was struggling to balance my self and every time the bus driver stopped the case moved forward and I was struggling to keep it from rolling in to people.     ... to say that despite these initial impressions I managed to have an enjoyable stay in Tahiti!

    My 1st impressions about Tahiti being expensive were correct, particularly in terms of food. For some reason I had the impression that coming from Australia and New Zealand that it would be cheap but Tahiti is the capital of French Polynesia which is still a part of France. All of their citizens have French passports! I even got a text message saying welcome ...

    ... I used to work with her at Penrith South 11 years ago! I could not believe it. It turns out she and her husband Gary are three bungalows down from us and we can see them from our front balcony! Talk about a small world.     ... to the Intercontinental Resort on the beach, to have a day there. We had to pay the day rate to use their facilities which included use of the pool, sun beds and a towel, it also included lunch in their restaurant.
