We have discovered that our trips onto small towns always seem more authentic than our trips to the big cities. While you HAVE to visit the sites in the major cities, and we do love them, there's just something so much more personal about heading into a smaller, non-touristy town (or at least where there aren't as many tourists). [L]Feeling a little less than at peace with Slovakia we headed further south to the Hungry Border. Our first stop in Hungry was the home of the Lipanzer horses Szilvasvarad. This had both of us a little on edge wondering if we were going to come to a road closure because earlier in the drive we saw some signs with X marks through them...again. We made it out of the mountains (phew!) and back to civilization. We drove through quite a few small, run down towns but managed to see the charm in all of them. We got to Eger and had a ...

... followed, and was driven to complete every element no matter how challenging because Sam had already gone through. I followed the two of them, with Csilla and Istvan bringing up the rear. It was exhilarating and exhausting. Fortunately the mixture of element difficulty meant you got a bit of a breather after a physically demanding challenge, even without letting anyone pass you.

We all eventually got to the zip line It went down ...
