... in a few months, a small segment of the public face of Terezin underwent a radical transformation.

A smattering of the young and healthy were put on extra rations and fattened up. Athletes also received an increase in their calories per day. Their bedrooms were freshly painted and no more than three to a room were in evidence while the reality was dozens were crammed into small barracks rooms before and after the visit.

... us to ask the officer who spoke no English. We got a family day ticket for 18.50 euros. We met the Swiss guy and chatted a little and boarded the train at 9:51am.

Ascend to Bastei at 11 am. We got to the baste within an hour. It has very nice view of the Elbe (river). We also walked to Scho something which was 20 minutes from the bastei. There was a moist descent and I didn't like it. We ...

... playing the keyboard- I took a photo just for everyone back home.

Dinner was at an Argentinian steakhouse. The place was pretty cool. Live music, dancers, the menus were on iPads, which took some of my fellow diners a few minutes to figure out! I had filet, although the $225 Kobe steak did look pretty tasty!As most meals here, we lingered over the good food and good company. After dinner we walked over to the Charles Bridge for some air and then headed back to the hotel for the night.

WOW! August 1st! what a day! It was full of ups and downs and was really just crazy trying to think about it. August. It was still the school year when I came and now... well, summer is almost over and it's really hard to wrap my brain around. And for two weeks now, I've lived alone (well, hahaha, not really, I mean... if I would have truly lived alone, I would be skinnier, hahaha, but Tim's Oma and grandpa have really made sure that I haven't gone hungry, ...

... weekend and mine, and about neither camp nor visa people contacting me...
I then chatted and skyped Kyle, who had a VERY funny story about his first day at the school, and then I brought Kyle in to Tim and they had a good talk.
