It is located in the centre of the city, we felt good, it is confortable, cheap and clean and (very important in Sapa) you can get bed-warmer included in the room cost!!!

Dopo colazione andiamo al bus terminal ad informarci per andare a Sapa. Il prossimo parte alle 10:15 e costa 40.000 VND. Facciamo check-out e ci addebitano 30.000 VND extra per le tre ore che abbiamo fatto in più (siamo arrivato ieri alle 6:00 e ce ne andiamo oggi alle 9:00)!!

Werner ci informa cha ha deciso di andarsene, da Sapa e dal Vietnam, che lo ha deluso (e lo capiamo). Torna a Lao Cai poi deciderà se andare in Cina o trovare qualche volo per Thailandia o Indonesia, che adora.

We woke up early around 7. Had a shower, which was surprisingly hot, still freezing when we got out though. We went for breakfast at an Italian style restaurant called 'Romano's Pizza', we were pretty starving as we had missed dinner and tea the previous day. We were feeling adventurous and the place seemed clean so we decided to try some Vietnamese dishes. We got soup to start, me and Megan got a 'rice noodle soup', Megan got chicken and i obviously got it ...
All night on the train and mucho rain
... a town closer to sea level. The driver was waiting for us and as we started up the mountain to Sapa, we were enveloped in fog. It was somewhat unnerving to be driving in the dark in the fog, but we made it fine.
It is cold here and usually, it's cold and dry at this time of year, but there has been no letup in the rain, except for a few minutes here and there. We had breakfast at a nearby restaurant and walked around a bit, but it was pouring ...
Farewell Sweet Sapa
... Still, it was another challenging walk for we unfit Westerners, and we sighed shamefully as our guide leaped and bounded up the stairs ahead of us. It was a great experience, and we were truly blessed by the weather. We arrived back in Sapa bone-tired, and went to my old favourite The Gecko for lunch.
