Today was a full day in Amsterdam. We had planned to see the Anne Frank house first and since it did not open until 9am, we were able to sleep in a little bit. The lines for the Anne Frank house are ridiculous! I'm not sure how long the average person has to wait to get it, but it must be an hour or two easily. Having Dad with us in a wheelchair, allowed us to get in straight away though (a nice gentleman who worked there (Seth) told us ...

... spent enough time in the city of Brussels I decided to spend the next day taking a day trip to Bruges. So for that day I was In Bruges. Bruges is a small very beautiful little town. Again follow the formula above and add some canals. I was able to knock out the whole city in a couple of hours. Bruges has 2 main squares and the first I walked into was having a festival for Thailand which was fun and a great place to grab a snack. ... inspired by the artwork at the Rijksmuseum, especially the messages throughout the museum that accompanied the artwork, more on this later when I've collected those thoughts as I took photos of most of them. Basically it provided a very profound background to the art and how we should appreciate art but I was very inspired by the experience and will post more on it later. H ouses are leaning as they settle with water underneath.
Walking around is difficult. There in not much on level ground. The streets, sidewalk and some roads are bricked. The curbs have multilevels. Cars, bicycles, tricks, what ever moves can just ride up on the narrow sidewalks whenever they see the need. It takes three people to see all the directions that vehicles are coming at you. Four days of that is tiring.

... with bottle covered roof, a make your own music video section, playstation, practise your pouring skills (I was declared an expert on my first try!), and of course several free beers.

Head back for a FEBO croquet (to see if they were just as good as our restaurant ones - they were). Time to try finalise some travel plans so we have a roof over our head.
