... but sadly the boat was already preparing to leave :(.We got back to the hotel at 6pm exhausted! We spent a few hours at Chaweng beach which although was long and quite wide was massively busy and this is not even high season. It looks like a fun beach though, with sunbeds and parasols, banana boats, jet skis, and bodyboards all for rent and all manner of sea sports to try. There is also a series of giant inflateables to clamber over which looked fun but we declined since I ...

Ok so today didn't start off any better. We got up at 8 to return the bike which was parked on the main road. We went straight to the bike I turned on the engine and it wouldn't bloody move. Great. We ran all the way back to the rental shop which was next to our hotel and asked them to come with us to look at it. The woman refused and we had to run all the way back to the quad bike to try again. When it still refused to work we had to make an incredibly expensive phone call to ...

I stayed at a place close to the airport and to the pier I'll be departing from in the morning, at Big Buddha beach. So on my trek for no whitener lotion I managed to come across-the Big. Buddha! See pics. It wasn't just a clever name. After that i realized my great ...

... simple answer is you get your laundry done when you can, and you buy new stuff to replace the stuff that is ruined in the laundry :). The first lot was done in Hong Kong, so many miles ago, and also claimed the first casualty, one of Martins shirts now has sleeves so short they are too short for me. But the really weird thing is, they didn't shrink the body of the shirt. How did they manage that?

... are plenty to choose from. Walking along the beach and searching for a restaurant is thirsty work so we sat ourselves down two restaurants up, to have a couple of cocktails. We looked through the menu and was quite impressed, and made a mental note to come back there if we do not find anything better. Half an hour later we were back there, ordered fish, chicken cordon bleu, pizza, and ended off with a sticky mango rice pudding. A very pleasant evening ...
