    ... a cross between the old women who lived in a shoe and the highwayman - quite weird but it made you stop and have a look!! Then headed to the coast to Bournemouth to stretch our legs. There were people everywhere and even though it was only 23 degrees (felt like 18) lots of people sunbathing and swimming???? So many people after our quiet countryside. ...

    ... computer time was all wrapped up by 0825 departure. A nice sunny Friday morning in Canterbury. The walk toward the station seemed long. I began to worry I had missed the Sainsbury cut off point until I picked up some familiar sightings like The Pound where Roddy and I had our first beer.

    The ducat down was c 13L but the numbers were reversed for the return [31.7L]. Roddy, I thought you said no need to book early with commuter trains? I think ...

    ... the lack of leaves on the trees, compared to Spain! Anyway, we're back home now and all still feel like we're bobbing about on the Ventura :) We all had a great time, loved the food (but not the weather) and hope to go again one day... Oh yes, we had a very exuberant welcome home from Bea too! ...

    ... a lot of the doors we passed to get to our stateroom said "Do Not Disturb" on them as people lay fast asleep trying to fight the motion sickness. Mum went down to the concierge desk to ask where we could get some medication for sea sickness and the guy apparently just smiled, opened a drawer, and picked out a packet of tablets from a huge stack he had in there.
