... Beatles played nearly 300 shows. It was a pretty surreal experience to sit watching a local guy play some Beatles covers on the exact stage the band used to play on. Another exhibit we saw was part of the Maritime Museum on the docks. It was a museum dedicated to the story of black slavery - slaves in America, UK, France and other nations who felt the need to take humans from Africa and own them. A very powerful exhibition which left you asking the question "how could ...

... have a lot of worries however. I may have experience of teaching children but this is wildly out of my comfort zone. I have faced burley Pike blocks which hit like a ton of bricks, I have faced performances which were in serious danger of being complete disasters, I have even survived a night of my dad's snoring, however each time I knew I would come out on top. I have prepared rough notes ...

... none other than the Beatles & we went to The Cavern Club where they played hundred of shows. It was so hot & packed but really neat in that they had a cover band who were actually really good. Of course, more English weather that we weren't prepared for met us along the way, so while walking aimlessly in the rain we came across a drag bar & decided to go in for a bit! Made it our own & had a good night! Doing a Liverpool Beatles tour tomorrow then off to York for the ...

The first few photos were taken one evening last week when we went for a drive up to the top of Pendle Hill after dinner. Almost at the top we passed Jean's son Phillip who was sitting in his car with his children Kian (who is 7) and Amy (who is nearly 5). He had decided to grab some fish and chips and take the kids somewhere nice to eat them, and it was just a ...
