Friday, July 24, 2015. PCT day 96. Miles1527.6-1551.7. For some reason, the morning seemed like it dragged on really slow today. I felt like time slowed down. By 9:30, it felt like I had been walking for 4 hours, but in actuality it had only been 2 hours. It was chilly last night, the temperature dropping down to 45F. It felt good. There were no mosquitoes. The powdered coconut milk, granola, and organic pop tarts I had this morning must have ...

I was expecting to find Cuban B here, but apparently he ...

After a shower and laundry, it was time for a huge lunch and a movie at the theater. Tomorrow, the plan is for the usual zero day chores of resupply/post office errands and of course, ...

... been hiking with Cuban B and Too Much for the past few days. And I keep frog-leaping good ole ZigZag, the Kiwi. We keep bumping into LoneStar, too. He is the fly fisherman that is gonna write a guide book about fishing along the PCT. So tomorrow I make it into Mt. Shasta the town. I will take a zero there for sure. I have not had a zero since Lake Tahoe around June 1st. That was 19 days ago. I have been hiking every day now for 19 days straight. I think I am due for a rest ...

... were closed (and have yet to contact me about this) has not, unfortunately, stopped them from putting my email address into their system so now I'm getting Subaru spam. Have to deal with that later.. While I was waiting for the car I went out for a nice 35 minute run down the block and along Ashland's excellent bike path and back, and picked up the car at 9:30. At 10:00 we had arranged to meet a friend of my dad's for breakfast, then packed and checked out by ...
