... see what the weather was like on the Kuilau Ridge trail. Beautiful...until we arrived bringing in the rain for a third time that day. Lauren and Marla hiked up the trail with Cliff, past towering trees, lush ferns and misty overlooks. We got to see the Hawaiian Goose, the Nene, up close and personal. We spent about an hour and a half just watching birds. From the end of the point we could see Moku'ae'ae Island which is a bird sanctuary. From the point we could see all the birds closer and ...

... was just a block away. We pulled into the very full parking lot and found a spot. Then Derek and Larry went to find our building and room. When they came back, we unloaded and headed to our condo. It is beautiful! Larry and Derek stayed up until midnight having a beer. I opened my door to the balcony and fell asleep listening to the wind in the palm trees and the waves breaking on the beach.
