... painted walls, marble statues, a theater, chapels, throne rooms, bedrooms, and even a toilet throne. The palace was cold and by the end, Annissa were pretty cold and could barely feel our feet. ... U-bahn station at Schloßplatz to take a train to Vaihingen where we could transfer to the S-bahn to the station near our apartment. Well, anyway that was my plan; however, it there were a few little issues. We were trackside waiting the correct train number that would arrive in 2 minutes when we realized that Brenda needed a ticket and the ticket machines were one level above. I hurriedly went upstairs to get a ticket and return downstairs to see the train coming into the station. ...

... MUCH faster. I wasn't in their lane but there were a few that were in the fast lane and quickly moved aside.

The hotel here is v neat and clean, the girl at reception was wonderfully helpful

Off to Benz museum tomorrow :-)

... but two car museums in one day was a little more than I really felt the need to see. Anyway the story goes that while Stuttgart is home for Porsche production, Mercedes happened to find their way their during the war years, when factories were split and production shifted from main centres to outlying regions, less likely to be bombed. Now the town is home to both manufacturers, each erecting large tourist centres to tell their stories to the brand faithful.
