... the wrong direction which necessitated a rather dodgy U-turn in the rapidly building rush hour traffic (at 15:00 you ask?) After this we were told to "Keep Left", yes but not in the left most lane so another lane change had to be made at the traffic lights which caused a little consternation to the driver in the next lane. Anyway, this done, we got back in one piece.

When asked about the 4 kWh electricity limit and reading the meter, she said "Just plug yourself in and heat the street if you like" A pleasant change from Mr Stern where every unit was charged at 0.5€ (we used 8 kWh in 2 days keeping consumption to a minimum – no hair dryers or hot water!)

This day was not a sunny and warm. We had a 20 km canoe ride planned and rented 2 canoes for our family. Vanessa's family owns 2 of their own, that you blow up yourself and then dry them and roll them up and put them in the back of your VW. They sat higher than regular canoes but were quite nice. I have to admit, I did expect them to tip at some point but they didn't. Our canoes were more like 2 seater open kayaks which we enjoyed. ...

At the end of the museum were all of the racing cars which I had been looking forward to see since the beginning! We handed our audio guides back and grabbed a quick bite to eat before heading back into town. With only an hour spare before the train came, we didn’t have much time to go through the town ...
