... way of treaty willingly entered into by the Sultan on the nearby mainland, so they created a new settlement, rather than liberating one... UNESCO listed Georgetown as world heritage site in 2008 as so many of the colonial building and structures are still in tact and used today. I checked into an average hotel in an excellent position, right in the heart of Georgetown.

... the most stunning place we have seen. We arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel and I saw Darren at the check in desk. I ran up and covered his eyes from the back so he couldn't see me. It was so good to see him after three months of being away. We couldn't check in for a couple of hours so we grabbed a brunch with thanks to my other brother Paul and my sister in law Chloe. ... the night busses are big, clean, really comfy (even get your own plug socket to charge stuff), they're driving on decent roads and the drivers don't drive like they're Michael Schumacher. The bus was due to leave at 8:30pm and being Malaysia at 8:25pm the bus arrived and at 8:30 it left. Bang on time.
