... snagged a few good pictures of the view from the hillside and ran back to the main road. So, in the end, we made it close to the castle, but definitely took countless wrong turns and ended up in a private tree grove that had the scariest sounding dogs I have ever heard. Moral of the story: follow the police's directions.

All in all, Assisi is a must see and another ideal Italian town to soak in the culture and get a taste of Italy.
