    ... Castle tour: There is a beautiful castle situated 200 meters from Sirmione bus-stop. Entry is 4 Euro per person. Time to take a tour may vary from 1-3 hours. View of the lake and the town from the top of the castle is mesmerizing.

    ... other places we have been. he water is very clear & in the small fishing harbour we saw a few fish, some gulls, ducks & swans & a lone cormorant, so it must be reasonably healthy we assume.     ... and we mentioned Seattle, the owner said that he knows Rick Steves who indeed has visited his restaurant. Very proudly he brought out his tablet to show us the video clip. Wine was poured with a very unique aerator that is hand blown glass from Italy. When Kathy asked where we might get one the owner said he would sell us one. Another souvenir of our trip!

    Verona has been a lovely stop and one to recommend for a short stay en route to Venice.

    ... frustrated with all the sitting in enclosed spaces. A bigger thankyou for the patience when I did lose the plot or was 'set in my ways' about what I would and wouldn't do ...and for rebelling with me on the few times we did 'leave the group' (next time we will be more brave)
